The Lord is truly good in allowing community members to devote not only treasure but time and talent as well for His glory. Drama Ministry

Drama Ministry's Ascension of Jesus The HOJ Drama Ministry started in 1996 out of a need to evangelize by bringing the Gospel alive to the people of God. Since then, many plays have been presented: "The Miracles of Jesus" which depicts the many wonders which Jesus performed in His ministry, "The Beatitudes", "Give Thanks", "Go Change the World" a Christmas presentation which showed God the Father sending His own Son to earth to be the Savior, "The Passion of Christ" a live re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross, "The Wedding at Cana", "Do the Lord's Way", and "The Prodigal Son". Some of these skits were presented at a Pentecost celebration at Alemany High School in Mission Hills, CA, Port Hueneme Naval Facility, and at a dinner in honor of Cardinal Ricardo Vidal, Archbishop of Cebu, Philippines. Members of the Drama Ministry are not professional actors but through the power of the Holy Spirit, these brothers and sisters in Christ truly bring the Word of God into our hearts.

Music/Praise Ministry

Music Ministry at the SCRC Convention We are blessed to have very anointed and committed members in our Praise Ministry. While a majority of the members are not true musicians or singers, the Lord put us together and filled us with gifts to be a very strong tool for bringing His love to other people through music. Everywhere we have gone we have seen people touched by the Lord through the ministry of song. This ministry has traveled all over Southern California serving the Lord through Worship concerts at the Camp Pendleton Marine Base in San Onofre, CA, Port Hueneme Naval Facility in Oxnard, CA, the Challenger camp (a juvenile detention center) in Lancaster, CA ministering to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. This ministry has also led praise and worship sessions at the Southern California Renewal Communities (SCRC) annual convention in Anaheim, CA. We have also provided praise and worship for other conventions such as the Men of Promise (a Catholic men's fellowship) and also women's fellowship meetings.

Outreach Ministry

The goal of the Heart of Jesus Outreach Ministry is to bring the Good News of God's love and salvation outside the regular prayer meetings. The Good News is proclaimed through music, special service or drama.

Praise the Lord for all opportunities He gives us to minister to His people. In addition to the Music Ministry and Drama Ministry outreaches, the Food Ministry and the Special Services Ministry are also blessed by the Lord with outreaches. These outreaches include providing Christmas dinners for units at Juvenile Hall in Sylmar, CA, prayer services at Maclaren Children's Center in El Monte, CA where there is also Pastoral Ministry (one-on-one visitation)and Food for the Body/Food for the Soul which is an outreach in conjuction with Incarnation Parish to reach out to Glendale's homeless.
